PADCOM Freshwater Fire Protection Pond/Access Road
We got an interesting opportunity to work with Manitoba’s first potash mine, PADCOM.
We were asked to build them a freshwater fire protection pond for their mining facility and an access road around the pond. Groundwater was an issue and caused us to alter planning on how deep we went into the ground.
We got started in September hauling clay from a location 1.5 mi away and ended up moving around 20,000 yd³ of clay and 8000 yd³ for the road. After we were finished, we installed a suction line from the pond to the facility for use in case of a fire.

Sinclair Elevator Demolition
After a summer storm destroyed the top of this elevator, we got asked to demolish it for an insurance claim. We started by taking off the office area, followed by the main structure and the annex. We burnt the wood on site, separated the scrap metal, and used a concrete hammer to break up the concrete. We then put the concrete in the burn pit, and clay capped it along with landscaping the area where the elevator was.

Farm Storage Shed Pad
With this project we had to strip topsoil away and make a clay cut through a hill to allow the area to drain properly. We then hauled the clay in and compacted it in lifts. We then installed our laser receiver on the dozer and brought the pad up to level. We finished it off with a 6 in layer of gravel.
