PADCOM Freshwater Fire Protection Pond/Access Road

We got an interesting opportunity to work with Manitoba’s first potash mine, PADCOM.

We were asked to build them a freshwater fire protection pond for their mining facility and an access road around the pond. Groundwater was an issue and caused us to alter planning on how deep we went into the ground.

We got started in September hauling clay from a location 1.5 mi away and ended up moving around 20,000 yd³ of clay and 8000 yd³ for the road. After we were finished, we installed a suction line from the pond to the facility for use in case of a fire.
